Congregational Work Day – Saturday, May 11, 8—11 AM.  Help is needed to clean up our grounds or do some cleaning inside the building.  The Men's Group will be helping with the church clean up instead of having a meeting.  Rain date is Saturday, May 18. 

 

 

Mark your calendar – Basket Social, Friday, May 3 – 7:00 P.M.  Donate a basket or a dessert.  Purchase tickets and come enjoy an evening of fellowship.  Proceeds will benefit the Renovations Fund. 

 

Please come and join the Amity Friendship Circle on a bus trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse.  We will leave directly from the church parking lot, have a great meal of your choice and see a show.

 

Show: Wake Up Darling – an extraordinarily cheerful comedy
 Date: June 6, 2013 – Thursday Matinee Show
 Price: $73.00 per person – make checks payable to Amity Friendship Circle
 Depart: Church parking lot at 9:30 AM sharp

Since before 1638 (less than 100 years after the death Martin Luther) Lutheran pioneers and frontiersmen marked out new territory in the area known as Douglassville. Driven by their desire to provide for their families and make a life for themselves they endured great hardships while carving out a future in the area which makes up Amity Township. One of the first priorities for these pioneers was to establish places of worship where they could give thanks for God's grace and protection.
